Volunteer at The 154th Open – Join the Open Host Team
Be part of something special this summer. The 154th Open is coming to Royal Birkdale (12–19 July 2026), and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to join the Open Host Team.
As an Open Host, you’ll help welcome thousands of visitors to Southport - providing directions, sharing local knowledge and creating a positive, memorable experience for everyone attending this world-class event.
What You’ll Do:
- Welcome visitors and spectators
- Help people find their way around key locations
- Share useful information about the event and local area
- Support smooth movement at transport hubs and entry points
- Be a friendly, visible and reassuring presence
- Volunteer roles will be based at off-course locations including transport hubs, Park & Ride sites, walking routes and course access points.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Aged 18 or over
- Friendly, approachable and confident speaking to people
- Available to volunteer between 12–19 July 2026
- Able to travel to your assigned location
- Willing to complete pre-event training
- Shifts are up to 6 hours.
