The 154th Open
The 154th Open will return to Royal Birkdale from 12th – 19th July 2026, with Practice Days running from Sunday 12th July to Wednesday 15th July, followed by Championship Days from Thursday 16th July to Sunday 19th July. This will be the first time since 2017 that Sefton has hosted golf’s original Championship, which brings global attention, substantial visitor numbers and significant economic benefit to the borough.
