Emergency Limited Assistance Scheme - ELAS

Our Emergency Limited Assistance Scheme supports local residents who are experiencing severe hardship, a disaster or emergency. It is there to meet one-off needs by providing things like - Paypoint Credit - travel warrants - essential household goods - referrals to a support service. Sefton offers many support services for various needs, from staying active to coping with loss. 

If you need help or advice on a health issue for yourself or someone you know, Sefton has a range of services available. You can find a list of these health services on our Public Health pages. 

Health

Wellbeing 

You can improve your long-term health and wellbeing by joining activities and events in your local community. Libraries, leisure centres, and various community groups can help you stay healthy and meet new people. Family Wellbeing Centres 

Sefton Council has three Family Wellbeing Centres that support children and young people aged 0-19 years. These centres make family life easier by offering help with:

  • Relationships 
  • Welfare (benefits, debt advice, housing support)
