The Mayor of Sefton's Charity Fund is a trust that was set up to assist the people of Sefton (registered charity number: 1026227). It helps many of the smaller charitable and voluntary groups that do not have a national profile and sometimes find fundraising rather difficult because they are not well known outside of the local area in which they operate.

The Charity Fund has three trustees: the Chief Executive, Executive Director of Corporate Resources and Customer Services, and Chief Legal and Democratic Officer.
There is a Trust Deed that is lodged with the Charity Commission. The fund is managed by The Civic & Mayoral Services Officer, Bootle Town Hall, Oriel Road, Bootle, L20 7AE.
There is a singular Mayor of Sefton's Charity Fund Committee that is responsible for putting charity events on that raise money throughout the year, the committee are always looking for people to help them with their fund-raising and anyone willing to offer some spare time can approach the Mayor of Sefton's Office on 0151 934 2062. Any assistance would be gratefully received.
The money from the Fund is distributed once a year, after the Mayor's term of office comes to an end. Donations are made to the Mayor of Sefton's chosen charities for their term, for the current term 2025/26 the Mayor's charities are as follows:
