You can now visit the free Sefton Open 2024 art exhibition at The Atkinson in Southport

Sefton Open, the annual art exhibition that celebrates creativity and artistic talent across the Borough at The Atkinson in Southport, is now open.
There are over 650 artworks on display in the exhibition, which attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Free entry
Entry to the Sefton Open - open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays & Bank Holidays) - is free. The exhibition runs until Saturday 4th May.
Anyone aged 18 and over who lives, works or have been educated in Sefton is able to submit work for the Sefton Open. Artists can submit film, sculpture, craft, paintings, prints and textiles as well as digitally created artworks. Local groups can also enter.
Southport Palette Club
Entries are chosen for inclusion by The Atkinson’s longstanding partner, Southport Palette Club.
Visitors to the Sefton Open exhibition are encouraged to vote for their favourite artwork on display. The artwork with the most votes will be awarded The People’s Prize.
Support local artists
You can also support local artists by investing in their work. Most artworks are available to purchase through The Atkinson and the Own Art Scheme.
