Share the Love of Learning: Valentine's Day at our SEND Conference

14 February 2025 2min read

Professionals, partners and staff from across the world of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities spent Valentines Day showing their love for learning and growing as a service as they attended Sefton's annual SEND Conference.

The SEND Conference brought together practitioners, teachers and professionals to grow and develop for the benefit of our children, young people and families and was a chance to network, learn best practice from each other and hear about new initiatives launching this year across the SEND space in Sefton.

Future of SEND

Topics under discussion included The Future of SEND, ASD and ADHD Pathways, Coproduction, Inclusive Teaching, Educational Psychology and Attendance and Wellbeing

In some interactive sessions, the attendees were joined by professionals and speakers from across the UK as well as Carrie Grant MBE who delivered a fantastic session on coproduction and shared her story of being a parent of children with additional needs.

Lived Experience

Sharing the lived experience was extremely powerful and the energy in the room for learning, growing and developing SEND services was palpable.
The conference was well received among attendees with plans for another next year already underway to ensure Sefton professionals are given a platform to showcase innovative ideas and grow as an informed and well equipped workforce to better support children, young people and families in Sefton.
