Gaming Together Exhibition at Formby Library

From Monday 19th January, selected elements of ‘Gaming Together’ will be on display in Formby Library. Created by one of own Library team Ben Kelly, this exhibition is an intergenerational project where customers can play the old-style gaming consoles, read the information banners and also attend related events.

On Saturday 7th February, Video Game Writer Damon Fairclough joins us to give a talk on how he entered the Video Game industry! What it was like to be at the heart of the original PlayStation launch! What it was like creating Sci-Fi universes, game manuals, adverts and his time at Liverpool developer Psygnosis! This talk will be held between 11am-12noon. Places can be booked via LibCal.

‘Gaming Together’ culminates at Formby Library on Saturday 14th February where the full exhibition of consoles and information banners will be on display in the Meeting Room between 10-1pm.

Dance, Mama! at Netherton Library

A new movement session led by Movama world dance practitioners. Mothers and caregivers are invited to explore simple, fun dances from a range of cultures, tapping into our bodies and breath, exploring dynamic and restorative movement with their toddlers.

We'll give mums an opportunity to focus on their wellbeing, dancing with and without their children. There'll be creative activities for children whilst mums and caregivers get time to move together.

Sessions are designed for toddlers aged 12 months to 3 years. Younger siblings welcome. Suitable for everyone, including complete beginners or those with no dance experience.

Sessions run every Friday, 10:30am-12pm
