Under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 we regulate industrial processes to reduce any pollution they may cause and, in particular, to help improve air quality. Businesses which operate these processes must apply for a permit.
This service is not covered by the tacit authorisation process as it is in the public interest that we process the application before it can be granted.
