Instalments and payment
The amount(s) that you have to pay are shown on your Business Rates bill or on other Business Rates payment notices that Sefton Council issues, for example a reminder/final notice or summons.
Everybody has the right to pay their Business Rates in monthly instalments. It is usual to pay in 10 instalments, but the Council will allow you to pay over a maximum of 12 monthly instalments with the last payment due in March. If you wish to use this option please use the pay over 12 instalments form. The actual number of instalments you are allowed will depend on when you actually make your application and when it is processed.
You should make your payments by the due dates shown on your bill and it is important that payments are received by the Council by that date.
