Bootle cemetery is situated on the A566 Linacre Lane (L21 8NW) between Northfield Road and Bailey Drive .

The nearest railway stations are Bootle Strand and Orrell Park and it is served by the 61 bus. Situated in 26.5 acres of ground Bootle Cemetery was opened in 1913.

Features include:

  • a baby memorial garden
  • war graves
  • two large memorials marking the graves of civilian victims of the blitz
  • area with a memorial marking the final interment place of the bodies exhumed from St Mary's Church, Bootle.

Lawn type memorials are allowed on the graves in Bootle cemetery.

November-February: 4pm
March: 5:30pm
April: 6:30pm
May-August: 7pm
September: 6:30pm
