We innovate
We are not afraid of trying new things, innovating and learning to improve things for whose who need our support. We are currently working with Partners4Change to run innovation sites to create a more person centered approach within our Social Work teams - cutting paper work and driving more person centered outcomes.
Our development team are exploring Artificial intelligence aiming to support all our busy teams to improve our quality of information, making content more accessible and reducing time completing admin tasks - freeing up more time to support our community.
We are leading the way with our Technology enabled care offer, always searching for new technology to improve peoples lives and support their independence.

Our Director of Adult Social Care, Deborah, has undertaken a Special Dual job role as both Head of the Integrated Care Board along side her Adult Social Care Director post - providing a stream line integrated working environment. CQC recognise this as the "Gold Standard" of integrated services in Adult Social Care.

In a 2024 Adult Social Care staff survey, overall 94% of all respondents said they are happy to go the extra mile at work when required.

In Sefton we are proud to have both a dedicated Principle Occupational Therapist and a Principle Social Worker to drive quality practice, promote change, provide key over sight of services as well as effective support to front line teams.

We invest in people
- 93% of Adult Social Care staff said that they have have had a Professional Development Review in the last 12 months
- 54% of Adult Social Care staff said that felt that their PDR helps them to understand how they contribute to the priorities of the Council
All staff complete a one to one professional development review annually with their line manager. This information is then reviewed by our dedicated training and development team who then complete a training analysis , working to sure up the work force, support those who want to develop and make sure that we have a great skills mix across the board to support those within our communities.
We listen
We conduct regular internal staff surveys , as a response to those findings all staff part take in a twice yearly "we are listening" session to talk about how we have taken all the feedback and put it into action.
In response to feedback from those who access our support, we created a bespoke Learning Disability Social Work team - this team has key experience and additional training on how to best support those with Autism and Learning disabilities to make sure they receive the best service possible.
At Sefton ASC we work hard to listen to the views of our community and often produce surveys and feedback processes to make sure we are hearing peoples voices and learning.
