What is a Survey ?

A survey asks people for the information or their opinion on a topic. For example , what do people like about living in Sefton?

It helps bring together information and helps the survey setter understand what people think and believe about a subject. It allows those who set the survey to then make changes, improvements and better decisions.

Why does Sefton use these/

Sefton uses surveys as we care about what you think about our services and our Borough. We work really hard to make sure we can list to those in the community so that we can provide people with the best Council services possible and we can learn from the experts – our Residents.

What are they used for?

At sefton we gather all the information together and review it , we then use the things learnt to change things, improve things and understand what people need us to do. We then provide “feedback” to explain what things have been learnt and what is going to happen based on the information given.

Which surveys can I complete?

New surveys will be added to this page over the year, and there should be a “What we are trying to find out” section, to explain whether a survey is suitable for you.

For example if a survey is asking “What do people like about living in Sefton?”

It should explain that “we want to hear from people who have or have lived in Sefton in the past to learn about their experiences.”

You can then decide if you think you are the right person to complete the survey based on your own knowledge, experience and understanding.

Current Adult Social Care Surveys available to complete:

TECS

Technology Enabled Care Solutions (TECS) describes a range of health and care technologies such as Telecare, Telehealth, Telemedicine /Teletriage and Home Activity Tracking Systems.  In this survey we will be using the word TECS when talking about this.

We would like to find out:

  • If you are aware of technology/assistive technology and the products available
  • What the barriers are to using technology and assistive technology
  • If you use technology or assistive technology how they have helped you or people you care for.
